Outdoor Ministries

 

Murray Hills Christian Church sponsors an “Outdoor Ministries” program designed to help bring Christians together to appreciate and celebrate God’s creation. It also allows members to introduce friends and neighbors (prospective members) to the church family. Outdoor Ministries includes a variety of outdoor programs allowing persons of all levels of abilities to participate.

• A variety of walks and hikes with varying degrees of difficulty, in both urban and rural settings.
• Plans are in the making for a hike/backpack trip in and around Mt. Hood.
• Bicycle rides with varying levels of difficulty Climbs of Dog Mountain and Mt. St. Helens White-water rafting on the White Salmon River (with professional guides)
• Short kayak trip on Tualatin River Snow shoed at Trillium Lake in the Mt. Hood National Forest (Ok, so there was not a lot of snow but we had a ball!)
• Overnight canoe/kayak trip on the Willamette River,
• Annual family campout at the beach.
