The Tigard Good Neighborhood Center

The Good Neighbor Center is dedicated to providing safe emergency housing and supportive empowering services for families. It is located in Tigard and provides emergency shelter to families, single parents with children, and single women. After arriving at the shelter, a plan is developed to lead families to self-sufficiency. The center works with Community Partners for Affordable Housing and Neighborshare. MHCC serves in a volunteering capacity by preparing and serving the evening meal on the first Sunday of every month. In addition, members of our congregation contribute clothing and household items for the residents’ use when they leave the shelter.
