Transitional Interim Minister
Rev. Sandy Berry was called in August 2019 to serve alongside Rev. Karyn Dix in ministry with the energetic and Spirit filled community of Murray Hills.
Pastor Sandy retired from California State Parks to step forward in faith into the Masters of Divinity program at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley. Along the way, she has served Disciples churches in Northern California and Oregon.
Pastor Sandy’s vision and goals for ministry match her hope for the church universal: That we may be strengthened by God’s steadfast love; grounded in the teachings of Jesus; and opened to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. “…One body in Christ, all of us members one of another.” (Romans 12:5)
In 2017, Pastor Sandy moved to Portland with her husband Henry. They particularly enjoy long walks, good bakeries, and bike rides along the Springwater Trail.
